Atlantic View Cabs was set up in Doonbeg in July 2008 to serve the people of the area. Anne-Marie Killeen saw that there was a need to provide a service for the elderly in the area, in particular, who were looking for transport to get to mass, collect their pensions, go shopping and attend functions.
Anne-Marie had previously worked for Enable Ireland in Ennis and was conscious of the transport needs that people without access to a car have. She is also well known in Kilrush, having worked for various businesses in the town.
But since branching out on her own, she has not looked back. Atlantic View Cabs has greatly increased its services and expanded its fleet since it was set up with a car that was suitable for transporting elderly people.
Demand from groups of people wanting to attend functions meant that Anne-Marie saw the need to purchase an 8-seater mini-bus as Atlantic View Cabs’ next vehicle.
The expansion continued as the demand for bigger and bigger groups grew.
We discovered as we went along that young people wanted to go to nightclubs in Ennis. Then the 8-seater was not enough, so we went and purchased a 14-seater,”
says Anne-Marie Killeen.
Atlantic View Cabs keeps its fleet in perfect condition all year round, ensuring customers get a safe, comfortable and efficiently-run service.
